Outline Family Origins - Birkenhead, Cheshire
This is another branch of the Sheekey family that seems to start from Boyle, Roscommon. James & Catherine moved to Birkenhead around about 1860. They lived at 79 Egerton Street in 1881 (name recorded as Cheakey). It is unknown if any other family members moved with them. It is thought that Thomas (b 1875) was the ancestor of the present day Sheakey / Cheakey families in Lancashire.
