Adjoining Parishes

When trying to find what happened to records of ‘missing’ ancestors one common explanation is that they moved just a few miles away but into a different parish.

And Brotherton families were probably more liable to do this because they were close to two major transport routes - the Great North Road and the River Aire - plus the actual parish area was quite small.
